About Madison Orofacial Myotherapy

Picture
Diane Romary, owner of Madison Orofacial Myotherapy, is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has practiced dental hygiene for over 30 years. She is a former clinical instructor at Madison College Dental Hygiene Program with private practice experiences in periodontal and general dentistry.

Diane attended Marquette University for dental hygiene and received her bachelor’s degree from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. Her post-graduate course completion with the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy on the Laurel Heights campus of UCSF has given her an opportunity to teach people the basics of orofacial myology and benefits of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

This service is designed to develop a tongue rest posture with lips closed to allow for nasal breathing. By working with the facial muscles, orthodontic relapse may be prevented. Improvements in chewing, breathing, and swallowing are typical outcomes of therapy leading to a more healthy life.
